PRESS: TGC-2 asks to requalify repairs on Vologodskaya TETs
MOSCOW, Jun 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s power producer Territorial Generating Company-2 (TGC-2) has asked power market regulator Sovet Rynka (Market Council) to requalify repairs on a unit of the Vologodskaya TETs power plant to prevent losses, news daily Kommersant reported on Thursday, citing a letter.
The issue will be considered on June 22.
The unit is undergoing repairs after an emergency on May 29. According to the rules of the Russian market, the unit will receive 7.5% of payment under the capacity supply agreement for two months and no payment from the third month of repairs.
TGC-2 is asking to requalify the repairs as planned maintenance to receive full payment and avoid a 118.24 million ruble loss in June or a 294 million ruble loss in June–August if the company needs to order spare parts.
